Millions of people in the Idaho area use cellular phones. They are such great gadgets that you can talk to anyone on the planet from just about anywhere by revolutionizing the communications arena and redefining how we perceive voice communications. Traditionally, cellular phones remained out of the hands of most consumers due to their high cost. Different types of wireless plans, local, regional, and national plans.

When choosing a plan, you have to read the details carefully. Most companies offer very attractive rates on weekend minutes and some throw in night time as well. Make sure it's clear whether you have ""nights and weekends'' or just weekends. Also be very careful that you understand what they define as ""night'' hours. Just because it's dark outside doesn't mean that you're paying nighttime rates. Noramally Nighttime starts at 8:01 p.m. for some companies. For others, it's 9 p.m.

Service can be spotty depending on where you live, the best way to see if the service will be good where you are is to ask around. You don't want to sign a one year contract and find that out that you can barely get service in your home or at work.

You can also save money by buying a plan online. Online stores operate on low fixed costs and can provide some uniquely discounted deals that you normally don't find in brick and morter stores.

No plans are made to fit everybody, sometimes a spouse travels a lot and needs a national roaming plan with free long distance and rest of the family don't need a plan like that, so it's cheaper for everybody to have a separate plan or combination of individual and family calling plans.

Today Cell phones and plans are changing overnight so try to avoid signing long term contracts, like for 2 years or more. Things change and if you’re stuck in a contract, you could end up paying for service you no longer want, need, or can afford.

If a new plan comes up, you should ask your carrier to switch you. There may be no fee or penalty involved.
